SITXOHS001A - Follow health, safety and security procedures

10 Elective Units of Competency

Ten (10) units with at least six (6) from one or more of the areas of the Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Package specified below:

  • Communication and Teamwork
  • Computer Operations and ICT  Management
  • E-Business
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Events
  • Finance
  • First Aid
  • Food and Beverage

  • Guiding
  • Human Resource Management
  • Languages other than English
  • Merchandising
  • Occupational Health and Safety
  • Planning and Product Development
  • Risk Management and Security
  • Sales
  • Tour Operations
  • Tourism Sales and Office Operations
  • Venue and Facility Operations

    The remaining four (4) elective units may be selected from any relevant endorsed Training Package.

    Only one (1)  language other than English unit may be counted as an elective within this qualification. 

    In all cases selection of electives must be guided by the job outcome sought, local industry requirements and the characteristics of this qualification.
