From the qualification FNS50104A Diploma of Financial Services
This unit has been chosen as part of an industry specific training program that needs to satisfy the skills requirement of current Australian Securities and Investment Commission regulations (Financial Services Reform Act) at Tier 1 (Diploma) level in the Managed Investments specialist and general knowledge areas.
The program itself allows for flexible learning and takes into account those who have previous skills and knowledge of the course content. Participants who complete this unit of competency can, if they choose, use it towards the completion of the qualification FNS50104 Diploma of Financial Services or other industry required qualifications such as RG146 for the Timeshare Industry.
Delivery of this unit of competency will be contextualised towards the Timeshare Industry for the purpose of gaining the requirements for RG146.
There is NO opportunity for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) associated with the delivery or assessment of this unit of competency for the purpose of demonstrating the requirements for ASIC under the RG146.

Element 1: Establish relationship with client
Element 2: Identify clients objectives needs and financial situation
Element 3: Analyse client objective, needs, financial situation and risk profile
Element 4: Develop appropriate strategies and solutions
Element 5: Present appropriate strategies and solutions to the client
Element 6: Negotiate financial plan/policy/transaction with client
Element 7: Coordinate implementation of agreed plan/policy/transaction
Element 8: Complete and maintain necessary documentation
Element 9: Provide ongoing service where requested by client
